Lucknow, Aug 13 :  Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today directed state DGP to immediately investigate into the death of a woman in Bulandshahr whose two minor daughters met him today.

The girls, Latika and Tanya Bansal from Bulandshahr, had written the letter alleging that their mother Annu Bansal was burnt alive on 14 June by their father and paternal grandparents and the local police did not pay any heed to their complaint.

Annu succumbed to her injuries six days later.

Moved by the letter, the Chief Minister ordered the Bulandshahr SSP and other senior officials to visit Latika and Tanya’s house and get a first hand account of the whole case. Thereafter, he invited them to his official residence.

Latika and Tanya, escorted by their maternal uncle and maternal grandmother met Akhilesh for over 30 minutes. The chief minister assured them of all possible help and justice.
The Chief Minster also announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to two sisters Latika Bansal (15)and Tanya and even assured a house and a job for their maternal uncle so that he can help them in their grooming.
Mr Yadav met the girls after Latika, who witnessed her mother burn to death two months ago, wrote a letter to him with her own blood.
