Ultimate Cat Burglary: ‘Cat Walk’- away with jewellery worth millions

Cats are sneaky creatures. They understand rules but they still like to break them. We have heard of these adorable creatures being the biggest burglars stealing food items. A nocturnal “cat burglar” on stealing dozens of socks and men’s underwear in New Zealand has also been reported.
But this time, a cat in Rajasthan fled away with something precious. Fularam and his family in Dhorimanna village of Rajasthan lost jewelleries worth lakh as their pet cat fled away with those.
Now, here lies the story. Fularam’s wife and their children, during a play, decided to ornament their pet cat with gold jewelleries.
“The mother brought her necklace, nose band (Nathni) and other ornaments to give the cat a ‘Shrungar’ (Grace) look,” said a villager on the condition of anonymity. After being fully ornamented, the family started a photo-session of their pet.
But, then came the shocker. The golden ornaments-clad pet cat ran away from the house suddenly during the photo-session.
“We came to know about the incident. And the whole village was in search of the pet which is found nowhere in the village. It has vanished in to thin air,” added the villager.
The other popular ‘Cat Burglar’
A nocturnal “cat burglar” has been stealing dozens of socks and men’s underwear in New Zealand.
In two months, six-year-old Tonkinese cat Brigit from Hamilton city brought back 11 pairs of underpants and more than 50 socks.
Her owner, Sarah Nathan, has documented her feline’s strange obsession on a widely shared Facebook post.
“Now it’s getting silly. Someone must be missing this stuff,” she said in a post shared close to 500 times.
Ms Nathan told the BBC that the trouble first began when she started discovering “odd pieces” of underwear among her washing.
“They didn’t belong to anyone in the house and one day Brigit walked into our lounge carrying a sock like a kitten,” she said, adding that Brigit’s unlucky victims were probably a nearby flat “full of blokes”.
The family said it had also started distributing street flyers.
“Keeping cats indoors isn’t common in New Zealand,” said Ms Nathan.
“Brigit doesn’t hunt birds or wildlife so it seems unnecessary and our neighbours have been very good natured about it.
“But we are moving to the country soon so hopefully she will run out of opportunity!”
