Mumbai, Aug 17: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis yesterday said the state government wants to bring all the services for citizens on a mobile phone.

“We’re moving digitally ahead towards m-governance as we aim to bring all the services for citizens on a mobile phone,” Fadnavis said at a FICCI event.

The Chief Minister further said that “with ease of doing business, we’ve brought down number of permissions significantly and Maharashtra is the favorite destination for investors.”

“We appreciate the role of FICCI in our nation’s progress over the years and the valuable support to the state government in policy making,” Fadnavis said.

Devendra Fadnavis also announced the commencement of 34 cyber laboratories in various parts of the state as part of the government’s efforts to crack down on cyber crime.

This will ensure that we have an upper hand while tackling crimes,” he said, while addressing people on the 70th Independence Day.

Commencing operations of cyber labs, that will be equipped to analyze mobile forensic and call detail records, is part of the state government’s proposed cyber crime project which is expected to be completed by December this year.

He said the state government will provide all its services through a mobile application by October this year.

The CM had in January 2015 launched ‘Aaple Sarkar’, an integrated web-based platform that allows citizens to register grievances and send suggestions to the government on various issues.
