Seen and heard it all; ex-employees spills the beans on life at Apple

Apple is well known for its impeccable customer service, and this hold true for Apple stores around the world. While India still awaits a glimpse of Apple’s official store, ex-employees reveal that the Apple Store employees are not allowed to say “no”, directly.
According to one ex-employee, that meant they would often have to find workarounds like “Yes, I absolutely can help you and I’d love to. The replacement is $199,” instead of saying “no, you’ll have to get a replacement.”
But the fun happens when customers come in with their version of problems with the phone. Apple employees claim that they have just about heard it all. An ex-employee who has a five year experience as a Family-room specialist said they were never given inside information on any new product releases or designs. The design of the lightning cables were so top-secret that they arrived disguised inside of a mock enclosure that mimicked the older, 30-pin cable design. They were then sent instructions on how to pry them open only to reveal the newer connector secretly safe inside the older ones.
A word of caution is what another ex-employee has to give as he tells us that “some things just can’t be unseen.” During data migration, as photos imported onto iphoto, each photo would flash momentarily as it was importing and he says sometimes there were so many photographs of penises.
Other anecdotes include stories of people walking into the store claiming to have damaged the phone due to some extra-terrestrial fluid that fell on his phone when he was abducted by aliens. Another fellow brought in his phone in a plastic bag. The man claimed the phone wasn’t working properly so he decided to shoot it with his rifle gun- he apparently wanted a replacement, he had to go home without one.
