The presence of “Rail Hoons” in Kerala
Shoranur, Kerala, Aug 16: The presence of “Rail Hoons”, an international gang which cause damage to trains by drawing graffitis, is seen in Kerala.
As per the report in Mathrubhumi daily , The presence of this gang was reported in Shoranur in Kerala on Tuesday. An accident relief vehicle of the Railways which was stationed at Shoranur was painted with graffiti using a spray paint.
Rail hoons cause damage to buses, trains, bus shelters, buildings, etc. They were known for destroying rail property.
The Railway coach used for accident relief that was stationed on the 12th track at Platform No 7 was found with graffiti drawings of different hues. This was spotted by the Railway staff. The accident relief vehicle has 5 bogies and 3 have been painted with graffitis, says the report in Mathrubhumi.
RHS, the abbreviation of Rail Hoons, was seen in the painting. The word `Rail Hoons’ was also seen written in the bottom. In the routine check in the morning, this incident was not noticed. Hence police feel it may be carried out in the afternoon.
The police and railway protection force have begun probe into the incident. Rail hoons mainly damage rail property and have been reported in Britain.
As per the Mathrubhumi report, this is for the first time that such an incident has been reported in Kerala. Police are clueless about the gang and the motive behind this.
