Police arrests media persons from Kozhikode Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, seize cameras

Kozhikode, July 30: Police have arrested the mediapersons who arrived at the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, Kozhikode, which will consider the ice cream parlour case today, reports mathrubhumi.com. Cameras and the vehicles of the media were also seized by the police and were taken to the Town police station.
The police said that mediapersons could not be allowed to enter the court premises as Maoist leader Roopesh would be produced there today. When the reporters questioned this stance, the police arrested them.
The arrested mediapersons were taken to the Town Police Station. Other reporters were not allowed to meet them. The police team also took the OB van of Asianet News to the station.
