In a big blow to militancy in Jammu and Kashmir, Hizbul Mujahideen’s 21-year-old poster boy Burhan Muzzafar Wani was shot dead by Indian security forces in an encounter in Srinagar on July 8.

Protests broke out across Kashmir Valley on July 9 over killing of the terrorist Wani.
