Legoland Dubai unveiling the Taj Mahal Lego model

Dubai, Aug 17: Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and an Indian tourist destination which is popular across the world.
This is exactly why LEGOLAND in Dubai chose to recreate the historic structure as spectacular LEGO model on the occasion of India’s 70th Independence Day.
Legoland Dubai, part of Dubai Parks and Resorts, the largest integrated theme park destination set to open on October 31, 2016, has shared a sneak peek into one of its highly anticipated attractions – Miniland – with the unveiling of the Taj Mahal Lego model. The model is made from 280,741 Lego bricks and weighs more than 645 kg.
While the real-life Taj Mahal took approximately 20 years to build, Legoland Dubai’s tribute was built in 2,019 hours using white Lego bricks with accents of gold, black and red throughout.
The theme park is finalising the installations of hundreds of models and “Minilanders” into the first indoor, air-conditioned Miniland at a Legoland park.
Miniland will be located at the heart of Legoland Dubai and will feature recreations of iconic sights and landmarks, from the region and surrounding countries.
Legoland Dubai is designed for families with children aged 2-12, featuring six themed areas, 15,000 Lego model structures made from 60 million Lego bricks and more than 40 rides, shows, attractions and Lego building experiences.
